WELCOME TO HOSA 2017-2018! Who are we? We are an international organization that focuses on various skills including: Health/ healthcare knowledge Leadership Service Awareness What do we do? We participate in several activities throughout the year, including competition events, conferences, fundraisers, and service projects. Most of what we do is related to healthcare professions, but you DO NOT have to be in any of Ms. Sheriff's healthcare classes or want to be a healthcare professional to join! Here are our meeting dates for this year: November 30 January 25 February 23 March 22 April 26 If you can't make it to a meeting, don't worry! Tell Mrs. Sheriff before the day of the meeting to ensure you know what is happening and keep your meeting attendance record. Join our remind: Vote on T-Shirt design! The two photos are posted on the GroupMe, as well as the voting poll. Going on this month: Tanner Hospice Care: fundraiser and bake sale The Hospice fundraiser is a HOSA tradition. Our change drive this year collected over $2000 dollars for Hospice care, which is where people with terminal illnesses and health conditions are cared for. This is an extremely important fundraiser because it helps lower healthcare costs and raise the standard of living for the elderly and for those whose lives are coming to an end due to illness.
