WELCOME TO HOSA 2017-2018!
Who are we?
We are an international organization that focuses on various skills including:
- Health/ healthcare knowledge
- Leadership
- Service
- Awareness
What do we do?
We participate in several activities throughout the year, including competition events, conferences, fundraisers, and service projects. Most of what we do is related to healthcare professions, but you DO NOT have to be in any of Ms. Sheriff's healthcare classes or want to be a healthcare professional to join!
Competitive events and leadership conferences:
The possibilities in HOSA competitions are very vast, ranging from biomedical debate to public health, speaking skills, knowledge tests, first aid, and various knowledge tests in areas such as: veterinary science, sports medicine, dental science, and others.
If you go to the State conference to compete, you get to miss school, go to Atlanta, meet new people, have fun, and even dance!
Service projects
We complete service hours, and do annual projects such as out Tanner Hospice fundraiser and bake sale, and our HOSA blood drives.
